Research at ANC

MSc and PhD programmes at the School of Informatics

We usually require potential PhD students to first study for an MSc degree. Potential students may be admitted directly to the PhD programme if they have carried out prior postgraduate study, or in exceptional circumstances. The School offers its own strong MSc programme. Alternatively, there is a 4-year Data Science PhD programme that includes some MSc-level courses in the first year. We also host a UKRI funded Centre for Biomedical Aritifical Intelligence that has a "1+3" structure in which students study for an MSc. by Research in their first year before embraking on their main PhD research project.
