Mapping the thoracic abdominal ganglion in Drosophila melanogaster (PhD)

As a step towards constructing the connectome for Drosophila melanogaster (common fruit fly) it is proposed to take advantage of newly available Brainbow data sets for the thoracic abdominal ganglion (TAG). Initially, by constructing a standardised atlas for the TAG and making this available online for the research community and finally utilising informatics techniques to automate the extraction of the neural structures from the Brainbow data sets and using this to develop a connectome.”
